ShadeFX Among 2022’s Best New Hotels in the World

Hotels all around the world are improving their offerings by adding something new or different to make their guests’ experience as unique as possible. World-leading media brand Travel + Leisure has done the leg work and created an It List 2022: Our Editors’ Picks of the Best New Hotels in the World.

Whether it’s blurring the lines between modernity and wildlife, these global accommodations were renovated or built to capitalize on their most valuable asset – location. From new rooftop amenities down to the earthy interior design, these properties have transformed into their ultimate forms.

ShadeFX is proud to play a part at the world’s top new hotels in 2022:

The Cloudveil, Jackson, Wyoming

Cloudveil’s rooftop terrace overlooks the Jackson Town Square in Wyoming.

The Cloudveil is a luxury hotel with rooms inspired by nature. Stand-out features of this new build include a 3,000lb boulder front desk, a 3-story rock wall extending up toward the roof, and beautiful wood, leather, and iron aesthetics.

There is much to do and see outside of the luxury mountain town lodging. Its proximity to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks makes it perfect for outdoor enthusiasts.

Inside, the hotel’s amenities boast a full-service restaurant, pre-function kitchen, meeting rooms, a fitness room, a swimming pool and spa, and a rooftop terrace overlooking the Jackson Town Square.

Its 5,000 sq ft rooftop terrace features six ShadeFX outdoor structures, each paired with our versatile retractable roofs. The complete weather solution covers over half of the space. The retractable roofs made way for 12 gas-powered heaters and ambient lighting to be installed underneath. The 10 roll-down screens added to the side make for a three-season room for any occasion.

1 Hotel, Toronto

Harriet’s Toronto has beautiful rooftop views of the city skyline.

1 Hotel Toronto sits adjacent to the city’s bustling King Street West entertainment strip. On the inside, guests are transported to a nature-themed oasis that brings a sustainable urban retreat to downtown Toronto.

Here, good energy is clean energy with the best-in-class energy and efficient heating and cooling systems. Its amenities include a rooftop pool deck and plunge pool and a luxurious restaurant and bar called Harriet’s Rooftop. The elevated cocktail lounge also graces the rooftops of 1 Hotel West Hollywood in Los Angeles and 1 Hotel Brooklyn Bridge in New York. Just like its sister venues, Harriet’s Rooftop at 1 Hotel Toronto mixes natural and sustainable with a contemporary feel.

The swanky spot features a wrap-around terrace giving guests and diners expansive sightlines of vibrant Toronto. While most of the experience has that open-air vibe, over 750sq ft of the rooftop is protected from any impending weather.

During the summer, three attached structures and retractable roofs keep guests cool and dry. When the temperature drops, the mounted heaters are sure to also keep customers warm and toasty.
