This major backyard renovation showcases their skills and combines a modern twist on a rustic theme. An exciting part of the project is the outdoor kitchen equipped with lighting, a sink and an elongated bar top.

A striking focal point is the wood-cladded feature wall, infused with large wooden beams. The reclaimed wood adds texture and detail, coming together as a creative overhead structure. Further mixing innovative designs with a rustic theme, Curbz specified ShadeFX for a custom retractable kitchen cover.

During the design phase, the homeowners expressed the desire to incorporate retractable coverage beyond the lime green bar stools. Mimicking the unique overhang of the reclaimed beams, the single track extends past the crossbeam, creating a cantilevered application.

A 12’ x 14’ retractable kitchen cover suspends from the underside of the track. The Sunbrella walnut brown tweed canopy extends and retracts via rope operation. Exiting on the left, the rope is locked in place by a retaining cleat, found mounted on the feature wall. Furthermore, stabilizers are located on the inside of the beams to manage water run-off.

Now, rain or shine, the homeowners can continue to entertain while working the grill.
