A large deck and pergola made of western red cedar wood were built off the back of the house, creating spaces for outdoor dining, sitting, lounging, and grilling.

ShadeFX manufactured a 14’x16’ retractable canopy in the cool Sunbrella Baycrest Pacific striped fabric. The Service Team visited the Guelph home to install the rope-operated canopy and C-channel stabilizers on the custom pergola.

The product itself is top quality. It provides excellent shade over our deck and the added C-channels mean that even on very windy days there is minimal movement of the canopy. The design also does a great job of channeling water off the sides. Opening and closing with the rope mechanism is also quite easy.

Another thing I can now add is the ease of taking it down for the winter. It took my wife and I about 10 minutes total.
