Homeowners in Oakville, Ontario, sought to expand their already exquisite yard. They enlisted the services of International Landscaping Inc. to design and build their new flagstone patio with outdoor kitchen and lounge above the pool area.

To complete their project, the company reached out to ShadeFX for a solution that would serve double duty. They needed a reliable shade to complement the overall space’s contemporary look and feel.

ShadeFX manufactured and installed a 14’ x 10’ freestanding retractable canopy over the outdoor kitchen area. The height of the matte grey two-post structure was increased from 7 ½ ft to 9 ft clearing the BBQ and oven underneath. A Sunbrella Silver canopy fabric was chosen, matching the modern furniture.

Whether in the kitchen or seated by the bar, the homeowners can fully or partially retract the shade to provide the desired coverage.
