Mapping out the vision for their clients, the landscape architects took into account the weather, sun exposure, and general health and well-being of the homeowners. They designed a large pool area with a built-in jacuzzi and pool-side loungers. At the top of the pool area is plush outdoor seating surrounding a fire pit table, protected by a pergola and retractable canopy.

Recognized as one of the premier home builders in Connecticut, Fletcher Development LCC was responsible for transforming Granoff’s design into a backyard that is elegant and functional.

They managed the entire construction process ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. Their teamwork in tandem with the architect and client ensured the project was completed on time and on budget.

Working with the Fletcher team, ShadeFX customized a 20′ x 10′ manual retractable canopy in Sunbrella silver for the tailor-made pergola. In order to reduce the canopy drop, five extra wings were specified for the shade.

The New Canaan homeowners can now relax poolside under their shaded pergola. With the flexibility of retracting the shade at any point along the track, they also have the power to filter the perfect amount of sunlight when lounging in the new space. From vision to reality, utilizing the expertise of an impeccable team, the homeowners were able to realize their dream backyard.
