As one of our long-time partners, Pro-Land contacted ShadeFX to add functionality to the large modern pergola. To make sure the beauty of the pergola is always on display, the homeowners opted for a weather solution that mounts above the structure.

ShadeFX customized and installed two 12’x12’ retractable roofs in a classy Harbour-Time white fabric. Gutters are added for extra rain management and powder-coated gray for a natural and seamless integration.

A dual-purpose hood was also powder-coated gray and incorporated into the install, providing a weather-tight solution. During the rainy season, the hood ensures that any water run-off from the roof of the house wouldn’t drip through the pergola. During the winter, the hood serves as a snow cover protecting the roofs when retracted.

With the press of a button, the retractable roofs can be operated independently of each other to expose the clear skies or provide cover during rainy days.
