In 2011, Craft Beer Market opened its flagship location in Calgary’s historic Beltline. An instant hit, the franchise quickly expanded to seven locations over seven years. This premium casual restaurant chain has provided residents and tourists with the tastes of local breweries, Canadian crafts and pints from around the world.

With their most recent opening in 2018, Kelowna, British Columbia has a brand-new social hub for craft beer enthusiasts. From rare imperial stouts to fruity anomalies and classic lagers to premium ciders, Craft Beer Market enhances the atmosphere with a scenic backdrop.

Located in the old Paramount theatre on Bernard Avenue, the three floored restaurant is a bustling summer attraction. There is a flavor for every guest with menu items sourced locally, daily bread made in house and of course, over 100 beers on tap.

The rooftop on the third floor is a favourite amongst visitors with magnificent views of Lake Okanagan and the City park. Careful planning allotted 200 seats and is complete with shuffle boards, heaters and ShadeFX’s retractable roofs for a three-season rooftop patio.

Travelling to Okanagan Valley for ShadeFX’s ‘white glove service’, the Service Team was responsible for a site assessment, measure up and installation.

ShadeFX customized seven retractable roofs adding nearly 1700 square feet of sun and rain protection. Four of the roofs are installed using a ‘kissing’ application where the roofs extend towards each other creating a water-tight seal.

Extra blocking was added to the pergola to support the 55’ long gutters and track systems which are powder coated black to match the stained structure. An Arcade FR waterproof and fire-retardant fabric is applied in a neutral taupe. When the restaurant is ready to ‘winterize’ the patio, the roofs are simply retracted back.
